When to Assess Thermage 600-Shot Results: Day One and Later Reviews

When Will Thermage Results Show? Look Beyond Day-One Photos

An immediate sensation of tightening is different from a result that develops over the following months. Thermage’s manufacturer describes gradual improvement and individual variation. Day-one photographs alone cannot establish either success or failure.

Can I notice a difference immediately?

Some people notice early tightening, but it is not universal. Redness or swelling can also change the appearance immediately after treatment. Keep early photographs as a recovery record, while recognizing that they are not a substitute for a later assessment of the original concern.

When is a useful time to assess the result?

Changes may develop over weeks to months; the manufacturer describes gradual improvement over two to six months. Arrange reviews that suit the clinical plan. This is an observation window, not a promise that everyone reaches a maximum effect on a specific day.[1]

What if I cannot see a difference in the mirror?

Compare photographs taken with similar lighting, angle and distance, and return to the goal agreed before treatment. Daily memory is an imperfect measure. Equally, an absence of observable improvement should not automatically be labelled a successful “preventive” result. Discuss the difference between expectations and findings.

Should I repeat it quickly if the result seems weak?

Reassess before repeating. If facial volume change or another structural issue was the main cause, more of the same energy treatment may not solve it. The previous settings, coverage, recovery and current examination should inform whether another approach or observation is more appropriate.

Is annual maintenance compulsory?

No. Annual treatment is a commonly discussed approach, not a requirement for every person. Retreatment should reflect your previous response and current condition. Worsening pain, blisters or persistent altered sensation should be assessed promptly, regardless of the planned cosmetic review date.

Before your consultation

For Thermage in Korea, agree on a realistic review window and a concrete way to compare results.

What do FDA records and clinical studies say?

Thermage FLX. Thermage FLX has FDA 510(k) clearance, K170758, for noninvasive wrinkle treatment, including the eye area; the RF-only indication includes upper and lower eyelids. A 2025 randomized study used Thermage CPT as a comparator. That study provides RF treatment context, but it is not a direct trial of FLX 600 versus 900 shots.[FT][T3]

Planning repeat visits or a trip to Korea

If you live locally, discuss when you can return. If visiting Korea, share your arrival, departure and important event dates. English, Chinese and Japanese interpretation is available; request your preferred language when booking and confirm whether the consultation uses an interpreter or a clinician speaking that language. Confirm the treating clinician and appointment availability.

What should you arrange before leaving?

Ask for aftercare instructions, the timing of any review, whom to contact about a concern and which symptoms need medical attention. Before returning abroad, confirm how to contact the clinic and request treatment records, including the available language and issue process. Seek medical assessment for suspected complications rather than waiting only for an online reply.
