Aesthetic treatment on a budget: what should you prioritize?
Treatment Guide · VS LINE CLINIC GANGNAM

Good value means choosing a treatment that addresses your most important concern at an appropriate cost and recovery burden. It is not simply the lowest-priced device or the package with the most procedures. Setting one goal first, rather than following an age-based list, can help avoid unnecessary treatment and make the outcome easier to evaluate.
Should I choose my first treatment from recommendations for my age?
People in the same age group can have very different primary concerns, including active acne, pigmentation, expression lines or sagging. Age provides context but does not replace an assessment. Choose the issue that bothers you most in daily life, and first check whether a skin condition needs treatment. This makes consultation priorities clearer.
With a limited budget, should I try small amounts of several treatments?
If the treatment areas are too limited or goals are spread too widely, it may be difficult to judge the benefit. Compare a sufficient plan for one concern with starting in a smaller area to assess the response. There is no need to assume every concern must be addressed at once.
How should I compare package prices?
Compare the product or device, exact treatment area, volume or shot count, number of sessions, anesthesia, aftercare, additional fees and whether tax is included on the same basis. An advertised starting price does not necessarily represent the full cost. Transport for repeat visits and time off are also part of the practical burden.
Is one expensive session better than several less expensive sessions?
First check whether the options address the same goal in comparable patients. In addition to the total cost per session multiplied by the number of sessions, expected improvement, supporting evidence, side effects and recovery differ. Before committing to many sessions without seeing a response, ask when the plan will be reassessed and what would justify changing it.
Are there times when treatment can wait?
If a concern is mild or the skin is irritated, basic care, treatment of a skin condition or observation may be the first step. A consultation does not require a same-day treatment decision. Clarify your goal, budget and available recovery time, and discuss the option of having no procedure as well.
What is the key question to ask?
When comparing aesthetic skin treatments in Gangnam, ask ‘What improvement is possible for my main concern?’ rather than ‘How many procedures can I get for this price?’
What do FDA records and clinical studies say?
These summaries describe the cited U.S. FDA indications. They do not establish UK authorization or replace assessment of the actual device, product and Korean labeling for treatment in Seoul.
Ultherapy PRIME. Ultherapy PRIME is FDA-cleared. K233996 covers brow lifting, lifting lax tissue under the chin and on the neck, and improving décolleté lines. A 2021 expert consensus and review supports planning treatment around ultrasound images and individual anatomy. Neither this clearance nor that review establishes that 600 shots outperform 300 for every face.[FU][U1]
Thermage FLX. Thermage FLX has FDA 510(k) clearance, K170758, for noninvasive wrinkle treatment, including the eye area; the RF-only indication includes upper and lower eyelids. A 2025 randomized study used Thermage CPT as a comparator. That study provides RF treatment context, but it is not a direct trial of FLX 600 versus 900 shots.[FT][T3]
Sofwave. Sofwave clearance K211483 includes facial wrinkle improvement and lifting of the brow, lax submental tissue and neck tissue in people aged 22 or older. A 15-person clinical study reported improvement at three and six months after a two-session course. This small study does not establish superiority over Ultherapy or prove zero risk of fat loss.[FS][S1]
Onda. The cited 2022 microwave study enrolled 48 people for six sessions, two weeks apart, and reported improved submental fat and laxity scores. It does not establish a one-session result. Our review of public FDA clearance records did not verify an ONDA/Coolwaves clearance for this use, so this article does not describe Onda lifting as FDA-cleared.[O1][OD]
Soprano Titanium. Soprano Titanium has FDA clearance K222064 for specified applications such as hair reduction and benign vascular lesions, depending on mode and applicator. This record is not a facial-lifting indication. A separate 2023 triple-wavelength study reported skin improvement in 28 women after five sessions, two weeks apart; its clinical findings should be distinguished from FDA clearance.[FTI][TI1]
TuneFace / Accent Prime. Alma identifies TuneFace as an RF applicator for Accent Prime. Accent-family clearance K160075 includes noninvasive wrinkle treatment with combined unipolar and bipolar handpieces. That family-level record should not be extended to every TuneFace configuration or lifting protocol; the exact applicator and its labeling need to match.[FA][FAM]
InMode. InMode indications depend on the applicator. In RF Pro clearance K210492, WMface covers mild-to-moderate facial wrinkles, while MiniFX/BodyFX includes temporary improvement in cellulite appearance. Forma lists muscle-pain and spasm relief and temporary local-circulation improvement. A platform name alone does not establish a single FDA-cleared facial-lifting indication.[FI]

A Seoul skin-treatment budget of KRW 500,000 or 1 million: what comes first?
These figures are planning examples, not quoted treatment prices or package offers. Choose one main concern, then request a total covering consultation, treatment, tax, pain management, aftercare and any necessary return visits. If a combination exceeds the budget, discuss priorities or postponing part of the plan.
How should you compare prices?
Start with the official treatment and price page, then request an itemized quote naming the device or product, treatment area, dose or shot count, and sessions. Confirm taxes, anesthesia or pain management, follow-up charges, optional treatments and any offer conditions before booking.

Planning repeat visits or a trip to Korea
If you live locally, discuss when you can return. If visiting Korea, share your arrival, departure and important event dates. English, Chinese and Japanese interpretation is available; request your preferred language when booking and confirm whether the consultation uses an interpreter or a clinician speaking that language. Confirm the treating clinician and appointment availability.
What should you arrange before leaving?
Ask for aftercare instructions, the timing of any review, whom to contact about a concern and which symptoms need medical attention. Before returning abroad, confirm how to contact the clinic and request treatment records, including the available language and issue process. Seek medical assessment for suspected complications rather than waiting only for an online reply.
