Dissolving Filler: Will One Session Bring Your Old Face Back?
Treatment Guide · VS LINE CLINIC GANGNAM

Hyaluronidase may be used to break down hyaluronic acid filler, but it is not a universal remover for every injectable. Material, location and the reason for a lump or swelling need assessment first. Reversibility does not guarantee precise removal or restoration of your earlier appearance.
Can every filler be dissolved?
No. Hyaluronidase acts on hyaluronic acid. PDLLA, PLLA, calcium hydroxylapatite and permanent materials are not removed in the same way. Obtain earlier treatment records when possible. If the material is uncertain, examination and sometimes imaging can help. A palpable lump is not always simply a pocket of filler.[1]
Will old HA filler disappear in one session?
Response varies with product, amount, location and surrounding tissue. Further treatment or reassessment may be needed. Age alone does not mean a filler cannot respond, and an HA label does not guarantee complete removal at once. Establish the target area and cosmetic objective before proceeding.
Could I look hollow afterward?
Reducing added volume can reveal underlying hollows or changes that occurred while the filler was present. Temporary swelling can also obscure the result. The extent of an enzyme response is not perfectly predictable. Reassess once the tissues settle instead of automatically refilling immediately.
Does hyaluronidase have risks?
Pain, bruising, swelling and allergic reactions are possible. Disclose previous reactions and allergy history. Elective shape correction and emergency treatment for a vascular complication are different clinical situations. Neither should involve self-injection or products purchased for unsupervised use.
When can I have filler again?
Timing depends on why removal was needed, inflammation and tissue recovery. A cosmetic adjustment and an infection or vascular complication do not share one universal waiting period. Review the remaining concern with photographs and product records before deciding whether another injection is appropriate at all.
Before your consultation
For filler dissolving in Korea, identifying the material and the problem is more useful than promising a fixed session count.
What do FDA records and clinical studies say?
Dermal fillers. FDA approval of a dermal filler is specific to the product, indication and patient population. Sharing a hyaluronic-acid ingredient or brand does not extend approval to every product or facial area. Confirm the exact injectable and planned site at consultation; 1 cc and 2 cc are not FDA-prescribed doses for an individual face.[F1]

Questions to bring to your consultation
Share the product, area and date of previous filler; ask about the proposed material and volume, alternatives, and the response plan for a complication.
How should you compare prices?
Start with the official treatment and price page, then request an itemized quote naming the device or product, treatment area, dose or shot count, and sessions. Confirm taxes, anesthesia or pain management, follow-up charges, optional treatments and any offer conditions before booking.

Planning repeat visits or a trip to Korea
If you live locally, discuss when you can return. If visiting Korea, share your arrival, departure and important event dates. English, Chinese and Japanese interpretation is available; request your preferred language when booking and confirm whether the consultation uses an interpreter or a clinician speaking that language. Confirm the treating clinician and appointment availability.
What should you arrange before leaving?
Ask for aftercare instructions, the timing of any review, whom to contact about a concern and which symptoms need medical attention. Before returning abroad, confirm how to contact the clinic and request treatment records, including the available language and issue process. Seek medical assessment for suspected complications rather than waiting only for an online reply.
